Necessary Tips

  • No aerosols, flammables, toxic, perishables, liquids, ammunition, etc. are allowed to be packed in the van. Please dispose of these.

  • Jewelry, money, furs, important papers, irreplaceable photos and other valuables should be taken with you and not shipped.

  • Any items containing gasoline and/or oil must be drained before loading (i.e. lawn mowers). Automobiles should have less than a quarter tank of fuel.

  • We will not accept liability for any plants. It is the drivers discretion whether or not to accept plants.

  • Understand and read the bill of lading (the contract between you and the mover) that the mover will prepare for the shipment to be transport.

  • The driver who loads your shipment must give you a copy of the bill of lading before loading your furniture. The driver will also give you a copy of each page of the inventory. Attach the complete inventory to your copy of the bill of lading. It is your receipt for the goods.

  • Be sure the pick-up and delivery dates shown on the Interstate Order for Service are what you have agreed to. And be at the destination at the time agreed upon for delivery.

  • Be present on the days of packing, loading and delivery.

  • Leave a phone number where you can be reached with the driver and get his cell phone number. You may also want to give him an alternate contact in case you cannot be reached.
